Personal Attention

You are not the same as everyone else, even if they have what sounds like the same condition. In my practice, I listen closely in order to understand fully what is happening for you. Your physical symptoms matter, and how they are affecting your life matters too. You will have my full attention during your entire session each time you come.  

Healing From the Inside Out

Conventional medicine is often about reducing symptoms - basically getting you to stop noticing them even though their source may continue.  But healing - actually recovering from the problems -happens first inside you and at the source of the problem.

Emotional Balance Included

Many, in fact most, styles of medicine ignore the emotions. But it is the emotions that set the tone and create the physiological conditions under which our body operates. Chronic stress, anxiety, sadness, anger, grief, worry or fear have a strong impact on the body. My work deals directly with the emotions as well as the physical symptoms and brings support on both levels.

My practice is a safe(r) space for people of all skin colors, backgrounds and cultures, body types, sexual orientations, gender identities and levels of health and ability. I am trauma aware, believe in health at every size, and focus on harm prevention. In other words, I work with you from where you are to increase health and vitality without preconceived judgements of how that should look.

Classical Five Element Acupuncture

Five Element Acupuncture is based on the understanding that the cycles and patterns of nature are also reflected within our bodies and selves. By noticing areas of blockage or depletion, and assisting the natural flow, we can gently but powerfully improve your health.


Zero Balancing is a wonderful method of body work that relaxes and gently re-aligns the body as well as balancing and integrating the energy. Practiced while you lie on your back, fully clothed. During a ZB session, I use hands-on pressure and gentle traction on areas of tension in the bones, joints and soft tissue to create points of balance around which the body can relax and reorganize. Zero Balancing can help relieve body aches and pain, release restriction in movement, and provide lasting relief from emotional distress. A Zero Balancing session leaves you with a wonderful feeling of inner harmony and integration. I often add a few minutes of Zero Balancing at the end of a regular acupuncture session.

Somatic Experiencing

During my certification in SE, I learned more about how overwhelming experiences can leave traces in our bodies, energy and nervous systems. As needed, I include this modality blended into my other healing methods. 



Qi Healing Methods

Other ways of encouraging healing and balancing energy (Qi) may be included on a case by case basis. I may utilize Medical Qi Gong, or teach you some Qi Gong or Tai Chi exercises to practice on your own.
