As I look at my life I see how I was always drawn towards healing and curious about energy. The hours I spent exploring the creek as a child and observing nature and my place in it taught me a lot. I felt that there were secret understandings that were just so close... if only I could discover them!
From the many hours of meditation and self-discovery I've done, to studying dance, to learning and teaching T'ai Chi, I've been on a path. When I first heard of the concepts behind Five Element Acupuncture, I knew that this was something I needed to learn and study. It's been 24 years since then, and I'm still fascinated.
I graduated from a four-year Master’s program at the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture in 2004 and have been practicing acupuncture for 14 years. After completing Teacher Training with the Worsley Institute I joined the faculty at ITEA, teaching in the classroom and supervising in the student clinic. I have a compassionate, intuitive and personalized approach, drawing on several ancient traditions and modalities including acupuncture, Zero Balancing, Medical Qi Gong, meditation and energy moving exercises like Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
I am a nationally certified Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and licensed by the State of Pennsylvania, and am certified in Zero Balancing. I am also a member of the Association of Professional Acupuncture and the Zero Balancing Association.
Whether it’s through teaching or treating clients directly, I am happiest when I am fulfilling my purpose - helping people find healing and balance.
